This Naked Wednesday we gathered by the river as Mudwalker Kart led us into a ritual of listening and connection. Calling out to the forest, river, wind, and ancestors, he reminded us to breathe together and remain one, with the group echoing his words in a simple, shared moment.
Afterwards we bathed in the river — including a proper wash for Tasa — before Micke and Batu hosted a sex! statistics quiz, won by Sunisa with Kwanita and a close lead. We closed the evening with Shui on the drums and dancing in camp, ending another Naked Wednesday relaxed and in good company.
This Naked Wednesday we gathered by the river, hosted by Mudwalker Kart with help from Kyra. Kart opened with a short reflection on how shared rituals and social activities help keep tribes connected, before we went to the water to bathe and clean ourselves.
While in the river, Micke and Batu hosted a quiz about genitals, which brought plenty of laughs. Sunisa and the Xocos clearly dominated that topic in knowledge. We ended the evening dancing our selves dry around the fire with Shui playing drums for us all.
The jungle came alive as 40 people gathered for the Anaconda Trials. Shaman Whisper welcomed everyone with words of guidance and a short prayer, setting the tone for the challenges ahead
From there, 25 brave souls stepped forward to face the four trials. The Serpent’s Path tested careful steps along a hidden route in search of treasure.
The Jaws of the River dared challengers to cross unsteady barrels and canoes in crocodile- and anaconda-filled waters to ring the bell.
In the Flight of the Anaconda, players clung to a rope, soaring across the river before releasing at just the right moment to land on the platform.
Finally came the Riddles of the Jungle, where wit was the only way forward—answering two riddles correctly to claim a prize.
When the trials ended, the crowd gathered as one for the Anaconda Dance. Twenty-one joined in, circling, swaying, and celebrating the jungle’s spirit. The night closed with music from Shui, as laughter, drinks, and dancing carried the energy into a true jungle festival.
Persephone wrote an article on the event that you can read here: Amazon River Sun
Finally thanks to everyone that helped out. Kart for being an awesome Anaconda, scaring everyone and adding a lot of atmosphere to the evnent. Atan, Micke and Stella for the rewards, Summer for the decoration, Persephone and especially August for the awesome pictures they took.
This Friday, we went to Gallivant’s Clearing with the Feed the Jungle Initiative, bringing food, coins, and vaccines to those in need. Many came to get help or join the festivities as Micke played guitar, Whisper and Syke gave vaccines, and the rest of us helped with food, coins and dancing.
This Wednesday, we followed our usual ritual bath before diving into a trivia session on the ancient cultures and gods of the Amazon. Goo claimed a decisive victory, while Shui and Micke secured second and third place. To wrap up the evening, we danced to the rhythmic beats of Diana’s drums.
This wednesday, nearly 30 of us came together to honor our ancestors. We wandered the jungle, catching butterflies—our tiny messengers to the spirit world—whispering our wishes before placing them in the sacred cage.
After our shaman’s blessing, we released them into the sky, sending our hopes to the ancestors. Sunisa claimed the top spot with the most butterflies caught, followed by Micke in second and Chief Mike of the Jurito in third. We wrapped up the event with music, dancing, and celebration as we often do.
Once again this year, the tribe helped host the Carnival Flotilla. A total of 16 floats participated, drawing a large crowd of spectators. Three judges—Summer, Leona, and Khaing—interviewed all the participants before selecting their top three, while Diana from the Xoco set the festive mood with lively Carnival music. Kwanita took first place, Micke secured second, and August placed third. Congratulations to the winners!
The tribe has employees Micke as the Tribe Mercenary, after Sunisa decided her time was better spent protecting the Xoco chieftess’ virginity… So far the decition has been very good and the mojo well protected and in our possession for more than in the past!
This Wednesday the Tapi and friends went to Micke’s home and performed a tribal blessing and cleansing, followed by a lot of dancing, beer, smoke and other substances…
