Namida (Mr. Summer) took a great photo of the tribe, for the Amazon Flickr Group contest. It’s a great picture and while it didn’t win, it for sure is the most engaging tribe picture we ever took.

This year we were coordinating the Carnival month in Amazon. It was a great carnival with a lot of participation from the tribe and the entire jungle.
We had the Feather Hunt, hosted by Namida, and the Masquerade hosted by the Xoco, and finally the big Float Parade and Pageant Contest.

Day five of the fishing week was the one hour bluefish competition. It was won by Alli and Regor who each got 8 fish despite a crocodile trying to eat them all.
Mandy and Summer hosts the Tapirapé fishing contest. The 15th to the 22nd, each Tapi must catch 300 fish for a chance to win the contest!
