A group gathers around a bonfire under a canopy in the jungle camp for a healing ceremony

Public Health Day opened with Shaman Whisper explaining why the event was needed. She spoke of the spirits’ warnings and of Tupä’s concern that too many people, and the jungle itself, had been suffering from imbalance, carelessness, and strange illnesses. With that, the call went out to heal both people and place.

Throughout the event, healers were busy helping people with all kinds of strange ailments, from physical complaints to psychological distress. Everywhere you looked, there was creative healing happening.

Many tribes and factions took part, caring for people’s injuries and diseases in their own unique ways. The Xoco, for instance, had three different locations where they helped people with various mental issues, an area in which they clearly showed great skill and experience.

Acan’s Haunt was beautifully decorated for the occasion by Summer, setting the perfect atmosphere for healing and gathering. Shui both healed and played music during the event, adding greatly to the overall mood.

Judging by the response and enthusiasm afterward, Public Health Day will be repeated in the future.
