Naked Wednesday at the Red Coast

Naked Wednesday at the Red Coast

This Naked Wednesday, we came together at the newly discovered lake on the Red Coast. The majority of us arrived safely by canoe, though Karto’s group, traveling by boat, unfortunately sank en route. After receiving the shaman’s prayer and blessing, we made our way back on foot, concluding the day with our triditional dance around the campfire.

Naked Wednesdays Are Back

During a lengthy and rather boring Elder meeting, it was decided to reinstate regular Naked Wednesdays. The events will be smaller in scope, usually a bath, ceremony and dancing, but occasionally we’ll venture out for collective activities as well.

Today involved a bath and dancing with music provided by the Xoco and Alli. It was nice to be together again and also nice to see the Seekers back at our Wednesday gatherings.

Naked Wednesday – Whales!

Today the tribe traveled to Sansara to jump the whales and get shards for tomorrows vaccine and tribe meeting. Was a lot of fun, and with some frustrations as well… mostly fun though! Next Wednesday we go poke the dinosaurs!

Día de los Muertos – Sailing

This Wednesday there were no events planned, but suddenly we decided to go sailing to promote Día de lost Muertos and Naked Wednesday. Elder Kwanita have long had this idea and I don’t think it will be the last time we sail!

Día de los Muertos – Naked Wednesday

We started off the Día de lost Muertos month with a Naked Wednesday celebration and a jungle hunt for the icons of Poco, Pillo, Loco and Gordita. The dead Bird, Cat, Uncle and Aunt.

Sunisa found all the icons first

After a prayer the hunt started, and we finished up with Whisper and Alli, painting the icons on peoples bodies.

Here are more pictures form the event, taken by Kwanita and Catten

Naked Wednesday – Telling a Story

This Wednesday we had a small event in camp. First we had our traditional bath, and then we created a story togther.

The story got a bit too strange to make sense, but it involved seekers, a police officer and a golden fertility corncob..
