A large fire was lit, and various herbs were added to create a powerful lice and pest-repelling smoke. Once the buildings were purified, it was time to cleanse ourselves. Everyone headed to the ocean for a communal bath, while the shaman led a prayer for protection against lice and issued a firm warning to all about preventing future infestations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
